On Monday the 22nd of February the UK Government announced a four step roadmap out of our current lockdown. Step Two allows the opening of indoor leisure venues (such as Oxfordshire Arts) no earlier than April the 12th. This step will be confirmed only once the data indicates a successful Step One rollout following the opening of schools and colleges on the 8th of March. As a consequence of this announcement we will be re-opening Oxfordshire Arts Studio for our schedule of monthly Glass Fusing classes starting on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of April.

Glass Fusing class Oxfordshire

Glass Fusing workshops at Oxfordshire Arts. Join us on our half-day (3 hours) workshops. All tools, and equipment are included and tea and coffee is provided. Pieces will be fired and will be available to collect approximately 2 weeks after the workshop. The workshops are taught by Dawn Miles.

Introduction Workshop

As a beginner, our Workshop ensures you learn about the nature of glass, fusing techniques and how to cut glass. The course allows students to design and make a small dish or a tea light holder, a coaster and a couple of items of jewellery. The Introduction Workshop session costs £45, and includes all materials.

Open Workshop

Our workshop sessions are also open to those with some knowledge. You can select your own project to make using any of the materials available. There is a session fee of £35 with material cost added (usually around £15 – £20) payable on the day.

We also offer Gift vouchers that can be redeemed, in part or whole, against any Oxfordshire Arts course – pottery or glass. These make ideal presents for that special occasion, or simply to give someone the chance to try something new. Gift Vouchers can be designed (within reason!) to individual requirements. Please contact Alison Jones to discuss further.
